The Australian Government recommends that Australian adults get vaccinated against COVID-19.
Individuals aged 12 years+ are now eligible to receive the Pfizer vaccine.
Booster Vaccinations: Anyone who received their second dose at least six months ago can now get a third (booster) shot.
Eligible patients can book their vaccination by calling the clinic directly.
NOTE: Advice from clinical experts says that you cannot have the Flu and COVID-19 Vaccinations within 2 weeks of each other. Your Eastbrooke clinic will coordinate this treatment with you when it is your turn for the COVID-19 vaccination.
Anyone concerned about the vaccination and its effect on underlying health conditions should consult with their GP.

The Eastbrooke Family Clinic Townsville is a family-friendly medical centre in Thuringowa Central. Our team of doctors, GPs and professional medical staff offer comprehensive, quality health care to patients across Townsville, including Thuringowa, Aitkenvale, Cranbrook, Kirwan and the surrounding areas.
This modern mixed billing medical centre is open 6 days a week and with plenty of on-site parking and pharmacy.
The Eastbrooke Health Hub provides the community with a diverse range of medical, health and wellness services. At the health hub, you’ll find doctors and specialists providing a holistic range of medical and wellness services right in the centre of Thuringowa, working together to improve the lives of the Townsville community, from Aitkenvale to Cranbrook and Kirwan.

There’s also a daycare centre, community library and an onsite café, so there’s plenty to do before you speak to your doctor, or when waiting for your medical appointment. Anytime Fitness is currently closed until further notice.
Bulk billing is available to our patients from Aitkenvale, Cranbrook, Kirwan, Thuringowa and Townsville for some services, at your doctor’s discretion. Be sure to ask your doctor about bulk-billing at the start of your consultation. For more details, please refer to the Patient Information Sheet.
Our Centre’s medical team is passionate about community health care
Our Medical Centre consists of a team of registered nursing staff and doctors, including many General Practitioners (GP’s) who have a wide spectrum of special interests and a dedication to the values of patient-centred care.
The centre also provides specialised medical clinics including a Women’s Clinic, Travel Clinic and Diabetes Clinic. Also available are Work, Health and Safety services including pre-employment medical checks, work cover and return to work programs.
Allied Health services are also available including NDIS Therapy and Respite, Physiotherapy, Podiatry and Psychology services and a Hand, Wrist and Arm clinic.

Pensioners, Concession Care Card holders and children under 16 may be bulk billed at the discretion of the doctor. Please ask your doctor at the beginning of your consultation.
Level C. Immunisations for children will be BULK BILLED in accordance with the current Australian Immunisation Schedule.
Both visiting and local Veterans Affairs cardholders from Aitkenvale, Cranbrook, Kirwan and Thuringowa, will not be charged for seeing one of our doctors as they are bulk billed, so please present your card on arrival for your visit.

Dr Mohammed Muniruzzaman (Dr Zaman) has joined Eastbrooke Family Clinic Townsville.
He graduated in 1992 from Chittagong Medical College, Bangladesh. After that he obtained a Masters of Family Medicine (M.FAM.MED) in 2002 from The University of The Free State, South Africa. In 2008 he became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
Dr Muniruzzaman obtained a qualification from the University of Queensland to do Primary Skin Cancer Surgery. He does skin checks, skin cancer procedures and all other minor surgery.

Dr Lee was born in Australia, completed his medical training at Townsville JCU, and completed his GP training in North Queensland in 2013. He has been working locally since in GP practices, as well as Townsville Hospital work, where he has good ties with specialists.
He aims to empower patients to care for their own health. He enjoys seeing for all types of patients, from babies to the elders of our society, and will happily see patients who transfer to residential aged care facilities.

Dr Leah Pemberton grew up in Townsville and has lived and worked here since graduation from the University of Queensland in 1987. Following her two year residency at Townsville General Hospital, she has practiced general family medicine in Townsville for over 30 years. She has made valuable connections with many specialists and allied health professionals in that time.
It is in her nature to be thorough and to listen. These traits combined with her years of experience, drive her to get to the source of the problem and formulate a plan forward for her patients.
