As restrictions ease, we are able to deliver you more and more services in-clinic. We urge any patients who have avoided their regular GP visit or postponed scheduled testing to make your health a priority and attend to your important healthcare needs. With the adoption of new social distancing measures and additional infection control procedures, health experts at Eastbrooke continue to provide quality healthcare for patients.

Important information you need to know:

  1. Changes to Online Booking – Commencing October 2020, all appointments booked online at Eastbrooke will be in-clinic consultations.
  2. It is safe to visit your clinic for a face-to-face consultation. We ask that you wear a face-covering – We have implemented additional infection control and social distancing measures to keep you, other patients, our staff, and doctors safe.
  3. Telehealth services are still available – Telehealth is still available to you as a convenient alternative; all bookings are to be made by calling the clinic. Out of pocket private fees may apply at the discretion of the doctor.
  4. You should not ignore your regular health needs – Avoiding regular healthcare appointments, testing and check-ups can be dangerous and have long-term health implications. Make sure you attend your appointments.
  5. Your Doctor is not too busy to see you – Eastbrooke has resources and updated processes to help support your GP to deliver care to you. Your health continues to be our number 1 priority!

About us

The Eastbrooke Family Clinic Essendon is a well-established medical centre that provides a range of comprehensive health and medical services to the local community and surrounding areas within the Moonee Valley region.

Our clinic has onsite parking and provides a number of both male and female doctors. The centre features ten GP consulting rooms with an onsite a treatment room, pharmacy and a dedicated pathology to provide an easy and convenient streamlined service to patients.

Our health and medical facility is culturally diversified and alongside its team of English speaking doctors, offers a total of 10 languages including Hindi, Urdu, Tamil, Singhalese, Arabic, Spanish, Kamada, Telugu and Ukrainian

Providing comprehensive Medical Services to the Essendon Community

A comprehensive range of health services are available at our Essendon Medical Centre, including General Medicine, Women Health including Mirena IUD insertion/removals, Children’s Health, Men’s Health, Aged Care, Chronic Disease Management, Travel Medicine, Iron Infusions and Skin Cancer Checks including excisions. In addition, the clinic provides a range of medical procedures to patients including diathermy, cryotherapy, suture of lacerations and minor surgery.

Our Essendon Doctors also participate in Shared Antenatal Care and work together with the local public hospitals. Shared antenatal care is an option for pregnant women with no adverse maternal or foetal pregnancy risk factor.

Dr Imran Marzook studied medicine at The University of NSW and completed residency at St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney. He initially trained in oncology before moving to general practice for better work-life balance. He has a Master’s degree in Public Health and has worked in rural and remote locations as a GP. He is a Fellow of The Royal Australian College of GPs and is available for home visits if clinically required.

Dr Shumaila Panhwar

Dr Shumaila Panhwar grew up in Melbourne and studied at Monash University before undertaking her medical training in Adelaide via Flinders University. She obtained her fellowship and returned to Melbourne in 2017 to rejoin her family and community.

Her special interest is in Women’s Health with a particular focus on supporting girls and women with their unique challenges throughout their life stages. She has additional experience in mental health, adolescent health, and allergy medicine.
