The Eastbrooke Family Clinic Burleigh Waters today welcomes its newest team member of medical staff Dr Chris Briggs.
Doctor Briggs is a experienced GP who attended medical school at the University of Melbourne, before moving to the Gold Coast to undertake his training in General Practice in 2008. He has particular interests in sexual and reproductive health, family planning, children’s paediatrics, pregnancy management, antenatal care and children’s health, but enjoys the entire spectrum of medicine that the continuity of general practice brings.
Dr Chris Briggs has completed the Diploma of Child Health through the University of Sydney, and is now an examiner for the course. More recently he has undertaken the National Certificate in Reproductive & Sexual Health for Doctors. He also carries a certificate in skin cancer medicine with the Australasian College of Skin Cancer Medicine and has an interest in medical education, working as an educator and supervisor for GP Training Queensland – and is an examiner of GP trainees for the RACGP.
Doctor Briggs is available for bookings from Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.00pm (note only available until 12pm on Wednesday’s)
