The Australian Government recommends that Australian adults and children (5 years +) get vaccinated against COVID-19.
Individuals aged 5 years+ are now eligible to receive the Pfizer vaccine.
Booster Vaccinations:
You are eligible for a COVID-19 booster dose if you: are 16 years and older, and have completed your primary dose course of COVID-19 vaccination at least 3 months ago. Check here for updates on booster eligibility. Eastbrooke has Pfizer as the approved booster vaccination. Please note that Novavax is not an approved booster vaccination. Eligible patients can book their vaccination by calling the clinic directly.
Anyone concerned about the vaccination and its effect on underlying health conditions should consult with their GP.
Annual flu vaccinations have started arriving.
The Influenza vaccine is recommended for people aged 6 months and over.
It is important to understand that the COVID-19 vaccine does not protect you against the flu.
Both COVID-19 vaccines and boosters can be administered at the same time (on a single visit) as the influenza vaccine.
