Telehealth
Telehealth Services
Telehealth is still available to you as a convenient alternative but you will need to call the clinic to book your appointment. Medicare rebates apply to telehealth from 1 October 2020 but you will have an out of pocket cost. Our reception team is available to talk to you about the cost of this service, any rebates and in some cases, eligibility for a bulk-billed consultation.
In some instances, our team will ask you to have a telehealth consultation before attending particularly if you have flu-like symptoms.

FAQ’s
What will it cost me?
Temporary bulk billing mechanisms introduced by the federal government for COVID-19 expire at the end of September 2020. While telehealth consultations are still available, regular billing arrangements will re-commence at Eastbrooke from 1 October 2020. Eastbrooke is a private billing medical clinic which means that there is an out of pocket cost for our services. Private telehealth services are payable at the time of consultation.
We can help you claim from Medicare so that any rebates will be refunded to your bank account.
Do I need any software to use telehealth?
No, you don’t need any special software. If your clinic offers a videoconference option, you will either be provided with a single-use web link to access in your web browser or invited to enter the virtual waiting room via the clinic webpage.
How do I prepare for my consultation?
Sit comfortably in a quiet area a few minutes before your scheduled appointment. If you are on a mobile, make sure you have good service coverage to make the most of your call.
