About

Dr Anna Fitzgerald received her MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery) from the University of Queensland in 2000 and became a Fellow of the RACGP in 2007. After graduating from Medicine (with 1st Class Honours) she worked for Queensland Health at Townsville, Gympie, Caboolture and QEII hospital before training in general practice.

In the public health system, she has had exposure to a broad range of medicine including much time in emergency departments, general medical and surgical wards, paediatrics, women’s health and anaesthetics. Dr Anna has particular interests in women’s health and has completed a Certificate in Family Planning and Reproductive Health in 2008, and she also performs Implanon insertions. She is also interested in paediatrics as well as general medicine.

Dr Anna enjoys spending time with her family and chasing after her very active young daughter. She also enjoys gardening, hiking, cycling and music.
