Catherine is originally from Wollongong, NSW; however, she has spent many years overseas operating her own GP practice in Dubai, UAE. Apart from European ex-pats and families from the Australian High Commission, her patient cohort was diverse and included all social groups and cultures. It was also inclusive of LGBTQI+ patients with Catherine being the only female doctor providing services to this community in the UAE.

Since returning to practice in Australia in 2010 she has worked in, Tasmania, NSW, WA, the NT and FNQ always as a rural GP. She has advanced qualifications in emergency trauma, cardiac and paediatric resuscitation. She holds the National Certificate in Sexual and Reproductive Health and has certificates in Dermatology, Skin Cancer medicine and multiple certificates in cosmetic and aesthetic medicine. She is now the only doctor in FNQ offering PDO threading plus all injectables.

Her consultation style is direct and honest with a view to forming a shared plan between doctor and patient.
