Dr McEwan grew up on the Sunshine Coast before moving to Brisbane to complete her Science degree. She also spent time in Montreal, Canada for her studies. She moved to NSW for her medical degree at the University of Sydney and, having an interest in rural health, spent a year in Orange. She also spent time working as a student in the paediatrics department of KCMC, a hospital on the base of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and also in Malta.
On completion of her MBBS, she moved to Tweed Heads with her husband. Dr McEwan has extensive experience, having worked at Tweed Hospital for two years before finding her calling as a GP in the Northern NSW area. During her training as a GP registrar, she worked in Murwillumbah and then Kingscliff in 2017 before qualifying as a GP in 2018. In early 2019, Dr McEwan returned to general practice after welcoming her son into her family. Having a passion for teaching, she works in both NSW and QLD training GP registrars. She also sings in a community acapella group so you may see her performing around the coast at events like the Broadbeach Christmas Carols.
Dr McEwan strives to manage your health in a comprehensive but friendly patient-centred manner.
