Eastbrooke has received supplies of the 2022 flu vaccine – Be certain that you consider Flu Vaccination for you and your family members.
Experts warn that influenza can be a severe illness. We are coming out of a period of isolation due to COVID-19, schools have been shut and international borders have been closed. We know that pre-covid, throughout the flu season, we would have over 7,000 flu cases each month. This year, doctors are particularly concerned for those children under 5 years who are yet to be exposed to any form of the virus.
The Influenza vaccine is recommended for people aged 6 months and over.
It is important to understand that the COVID-19 vaccine does not protect you against the flu. The good news is that both COVID-19 vaccines and boosters can be administered at the same time (on a single visit) as the influenza vaccine. Experts have confirmed that this co-administration of vaccines is safe and produces the desired immune response.
