Lachlan or Lockey completed a Bachelor of Health Sciences at Auckland University of Technology in 2022.

From his school years, Lockey had a passion for helping diabetics with their foot and wound care. Since graduating, he has worked predominantly in this field and has an extensive knowledge base in complicated foot and ankle cases. In recent times, Lockey has broadened his skill set and focused his attention on foot and ankle biomechanics, which has been his principal interest and passion of late.

Lockey is a huge advocate for evidence-based medicine when managing his patients. He keeps abreast of the most recent literature to help support his patients with a wide range of conditions.

Lockey grew up in Auckland, Aotearoa, with a very active childhood. He spent over 10 years playing rugby union and has been a surf lifeguard on the notorious west coast of NZ. More recently, he has been an avid motocross rider, gym enthusiast, and boxer.
