The Eastbrooke Blacktown GP Super Clinic recently scaled up its technology solution to streamline patient check in (arrival) times. The technology solution is known as the “express check-in” system.

Patients who have made a GP or Nurse appointment are able to “self check-in” by swiping their Medicare card on one of the touch screens at the front reception desk where staff are on hand to assist or in the waiting room area.

Once a patient has successfully checked in, the system automatically alerts practice staff that the patient has arrived at the centre and is ready to see their Doctor or Nurse.

A patient who is a regular user of the express check-in system commented “It’s brilliant. It makes my life much easier to book online and check-in myself”.
