How does my GP use my information
Eastbrooke Medical Centres securely record information about our patients. You GP may use this information about your health to take part in quality improvement and research, to improve the quality of care provided to you and your family.
What happens to my information
Be assured, the information collected, used and stored for these purposes remains anonymous, complying with the Australian Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act 1998 (Cwth). Our practice will not share personal information with any third party without your consent.
In the unlikely event of a breach of your data, your GP is obligated to notify you as soon as practicable.
If you would like more information, speak to your GP.
Don’t want your health data used
Tell our reception staff and they will remove your de-identified information from the grouped data.
